Mandy Morton & Spriguns - Goodbye The Day (Mandy Morton)

Alright I'm back! This song is too easy and it's incredibly late and I'm beat so I thought it would be a nice one to post. Maybe almost unnecessary but it's one of my favorites so it's got to go up. I don't really know what this song is about but I would really like to. If anybody knows please share. I'm not going to put a link up to the audio right now, but you can listen to it on the Mandy Morton and Spriguns Myspace page, which is kind of ridiculous. Oh well. Enjoy.

Am
Goodbye the day that said the words
C G Am
That none should ever hear
Am
And brought a shadow to the land
C G Em
that dealt this blow of fear
Am C G Em
And the warlord stands with an axe in his hand
Am
Goodbye the day
Am
And goodbye the ships that left the land
C G Am
And sank beneath the sea
Am
And laid the sailors in the deep
C G Em
Where death has paid their fee
Am C G Em
And the warlord stands with an axe in his hand
Am
Goodbye the day
Am
And goodbye the fields of emptiness
C G Am
Where all our sons were slain
Am
And only ghostly battle cries
C G Em
Rise up and live again
Am C G Em
And the warlord stands with an axe in his hand
Am
Goodbye the day

(Instrumental Break, Same Chords)

Am
And goodbye the grave that told the tale
C G Am
Of them who stayed behind
Am
To build a generation

C G Em
Of peace to all our kind
Am C G Em
And the warlord stands with an axe in his hand
Am
Goodbye the day (repeat chorus to end)
